Sun Protection Essentials
As you know, Australia can be quite sunny, especially in the summertime, which begins towards the end of October. That’s right! Christmas is in the summertime in Australia! Temperatures can be quite warm during this time, and it is wise to take along plenty of sun protection essentials. Don’t forget that you will be spending a lot of time outdoors too when in Australia. The beaches, lakes, islands, and outback are all waiting to be explored and you don’t want to miss out. If you check some of the fab Australia holiday packages out there you will see the number of experiences on offer. Some travel agents such as Mackinnons Travels pack in quite a comprehensive tour and you will love every moment of it; just make sure you have plenty of sun protection.

Take along your favourite sunscreen; one that has an SPF factor of 30 or more will be best. The sun can be harsh, and you need to reapply sunscreen every 20 minutes or as your brand requires. Take enough to get you started because you will be able to buy more from the shops there. A hat is another essential for protection from the sun; take your favourite hat that you can wear whenever you are out and about in the sun. Don’t forget your shades too. Protect your eyes from the harsh rays of the sun by making sure to always wear a good pair of shades.

Dress for Australia
Rubber flip-flops are essential. You will be spending a lot of time at the gorgeous beaches, and lakes of Australia. And flip-flops will be easy to manage as they do not trap sand and keep your feet from getting burnt on the hot sand. Besides, you will see that a lot of people prefer to wear flip-flops in the summertime when out and about as it keeps the feet cool. Take along cotton t-shirts and shorts as well as long pants and a good jacket. Nights can be quite cold, especially when touring cities like Melbourne.

Swimsuits and Active Wear
A bather is essential when visiting Australia; you can, of course, buy one once you get there, but in case you want to hit the beach before you shop, you may want to take along your bather. Apart from the beaches, there are many trails and outback attractions to explore; therefore, you need to take some functional activewear to keep you protected from the sun as well as the cold. Leggings, socks, jackets, and cargo pants are some of the clothing items you may want to take. Check with your Sri Lanka travel agent about the type of activities involved and pack accordingly.

Sturdy Footwear
Australia offers plenty of opportunities for you to enjoy trekking. Whether it is the rugged coastal paths that you decide to explore or the hinterlands, there is much to see, and you need a sturdy pair of shoes for all the walks you will be enjoying. Even downtown Sydney and Brisbane will have amazing lookout points that you will want to walk up to for sweeping views of the surroundings, so don’t forget your walking shoes. Pack a bottle of water. It’s important to stay hydrated when out and about; therefore, make sure to take a hardy water bottle you can keep refilling as you go.

Enjoy your tour!
